The arolsen school educational platform achieved the second place in the category “Early Childhood Education and School” of the delina Innovation Award for digital education.

The delina Award, which is granted at LEARNTEC every year, honors innovative digital educational projects in the categories “Early Childhood Education and School”, “University”, “Training and Further Education”, and “Society and Life-Long Learning”. In the last category, arolsen school’s education platform took second place.

That our project has won the award in historical-political education is not only a reason for celebration, but also an incentive to further develop our educational offerings, to provide impetus, and to work on new approaches to digital civic education. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the jury and to everyone who supports us in the ongoing evolution of our platform.

Twelve nominees, including the Arolsen Archives, were selected from a wide range of applications. A jury consisting of experts from companies, universities, schools and Corporate Training evaluated the applications based on factors such as technical innovation, a targeted didactic conception, individuality, and creativity. The selected winners were honored in Karlsruhe on May 7, 2025. The first place in the category “Early Childhood Education and School” was awarded to the project “TESS Augmented Reality” which uses augmented reality to illustrate complex concepts, such as physical processes, in a clear intuitive way enabling pupils to grasp the content more easily.

The arolsen school educational platform is an innovative free tool that combines historical-political education and modern media use: a variety of modules serves to sensitize young people to the meaning of history in the here and now and motivates them to engage in a lively and critical dialogue on current social issues.
