Open, curious, and free-thinking – that’s how we experience the young people of Generation Z. For them, remembrance of Nazi persecution is closely linked to the world they live in today, a world where the voices of populism, authoritarianism, and intolerance are getting louder and louder. Democracies are in danger all over the world, the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine has made that abundantly clear. Confronted with threats like these, we stand up strong for democratic societies – together with young people who want a future of peace.
