To mark the 76th anniversary of the liberation of the Stutthof concentration camp on May 9, 2021, the Arolsen Archives and the Muzeum Stutthof w Sztutowie are jointly publishing a #StolenMemory online exhibition focusing on the fate of prisoners from this camp.

The exhibition tells the stories of a total of 20 people who were imprisoned in the Stutthof concentration camp in the course of their persecution. When they were imprisoned, the prisoners had to hand over all of their personal items – watches, photos, jewelry. The Arolsen Archives now have many of these items in their holdings. With the help of volunteers, it has been possible to return some of them to the families of the victims.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the exhibition will initially be displayed online. Hopefully it will be possible to hold a #StolenMemory exhibition on site at the Muzeum Stutthof w Sztutowie in the future.
