#StolenMemory in Brussels
#StolenMemory is coming to Belgium! To kick off the Belgium tour, we are joining forces with the Musée Royal de l’Armée and the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to inaugurate our fourth #StolenMemory container in Brussels on May 8, 2022.
We are showing the new #StolenMemory container in the Parc du Cinquantenaire in the heart of Brussels from May 8 to 23. The exhibition tells the stories of ten people who suffered persecution under the Nazi regime. They came from all over Europe, and the Nazis tore them away from the lives they knew. The National Socialists confiscated all their personal belongings when they imprisoned them – things like watches, wedding rings, and family photos. The Arolsen Archives still have some of these items in storage, and they continue to search for the families of their owners.
Thanks to the generous support of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we can now bring the #StolenMemory traveling exhibition to Belgium. The new #StolenMemory container (the fourth of its kind) will tour Belgium and the Netherlands for at least the next two years. The exhibition is in French, Flemish, and German.
