EHRI is looking for Holocaust researchers, digital humanists and archivists
EHRI started its second phase in May 2015. In this new phase EHRI will sustain and expand its current work. More Holocaust institutions will be invited to participate and connect their collections in the EHRI portal, and new research tools will be implemented. These goals can only be reached in close cooperation with Holocaust researchers, digital humanists and archivists. For this reason the EHRI-project would like to invite interested holocaust researchers, digital humanists and archivists to participate in our User Feedback Group.
What does the User Feedback Group do?
- The User Feedback Group will periodically be invited to provide us with early user feedback on prototypes of EHRI tools and services.
- The User Feedback Group will be involved in usability tests of the portal, e.g. does the portal provide good search facilities for researchers? This will help EHRI to develop better services for researchers, digital humanists and archivists.
- The User Feedback Group will help EHRI to gain insights into the workflows for describing and publishing (digital) archives at institutions who preserve Holocaust-related archives, and improve understanding of the methods via which information can be shared through the EHRI portal. For this task we are especially looking for archivists to join our team.
Given the priorities of the various EHRI work packages it is expected that the User Feedback Group will be multidisciplinary, encompassing at least the following three professions:
1. Holocaust researchers
2. Digital humanists
3. Archivists and other professionals at institutions, responsible for describing and preserving Holocaust related resources.
What do you get in return?
Influence. Participants will follow the EHRI project from close by as it develops and shape its direction by providing us with input about their needs.
Networking. Be part of the EHRI community, participate in its further development, and stay informed about the EHRI portal and new ways of researching the Holocaust.
What is not part of the User Feedback Group’s tasks?
We don’t expect any substantive or editorial input from the participants of the User Feedback Group.
Are you a Holocaust researcher, digital humanist or archivist, and do you want to follow EHRI from close-by as it develops? And are you willing to provide us with user feedback on prototypes of EHRI tools and services?
